Our Mission
The mission of Cold Turkey Gaming is to prepare youth in underserved communities for opportunities in the Esports industry. We will accomplish this goal by providing educational workshops that will develop the skills needed for a successful career in Esports.

Careers in steam are expected to grow at a rate 3x the average rate of other industries by 2029.

By participating in an Esports program, students will be able to develop professional gaming experience and complimentary skills such as community organization, game development and promotional design.

In addition to developing skills around Esports, the students will also be exposed to other careers in steam such as Coding, CS Engineering, Digital Publishing, IT Security and many more. Esports will help to level the playing field in steam focused careers in an industry where they are disproportionately underrepresented.

Team Sport
On average 60-80% of youth on an Esports team have not participated in a physical athletic team.
The team will give the youth an opportunity to engage in competitive sports and develop their gaming abilities.
Being apart of a competitive team will help increase the confidence level of the participants.
Self-Development
Students will learn how to set and achieve personal goals. In this process, they will evaluate progress, track, and analyze personal development to create a plan for success.
An Esports' team will give students a sense of belonging and give students the opportunity to create and maintain healthy habits from exercising discipline, making healthy food choices, getting ample rest, and setting boundaries for use of technology.
Social Skills
An Esports' team member will have to navigate and develop the social skills necessary to work successfully within a team dynamic.
They will have to establish effective skills in communication, giving and receiving criticism, and maintain a level of commitment and dependability that allows for trust to form amongst the team.
